Wisdom House Islamic School Summer School was conducted from 29th July to 30th August 2024 and embraced the experience of added spiritual, academic, and extracurricular activities. It was structurally designed to mold and elevate the students’ Islamic knowledge, academic abilities, and social skills in an interactive and friendly environment.

Introduction to the Summer School
This summer school provided facilities for students of different age groups whose most important concern was the implantation of Islamic values and principles alongside the pursuit of academic education. This is an effort to provide an integrated education that gives the perfect blend of Islamic ideology, academics, and exposure to extracurricular activities.

Core Curriculum and Extracurricular
Islamic Studies
The summer school had been focused on Islamic Education as one of the main areas wherein it guided them through various aspects of learning under Islam in their quest to deepen knowledge and relations with faith:

Quranic Recitation and Memorization (Hifz): The students recited the Holy Qur’an with tajweed by following the rules of proper pronunciation as assigned to them by the qualified facilitators, and they memorized surahs.
Tafsir (Qur’anic Interpretation): Taking the pupils through deeper meanings of the Qur’an and its interpretation for better understanding in respect to how the teachings relate to daily life.
Prophetic Stories and Islamic History: Students were initiated into the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the other central personalities in Islamic history, which helped them relate with so much Islamic endowment.
Fiqh and Aqeedah: More practical lessons were also set for these two very basic parts of Islamic jurisprudence and theology, which particularly dealt with everyday worship, cleanliness, and morality.
2. Arabic Language
Because the Qur’an was in Arabic, the Arabic language was of some importance. Teaching centered on basic grammar, vocabulary lists, and reading exercises in order to instill a sense of the aesthetics of Arabic by the same token as an ability to read Qur’anic text directly.

3. Academic Support
Since Islamic studies were really the backbone of the summer program, academic subjects got equal footing.

Mathematics/Science: One-on-one classes facilitated problem-solving skills and helped develop good critical thinking, which would better prepare the students for a new school year.
English: Summer school was further education intended to review and enhance literacy skills, such as reading comprehension, creative writing, and effective communication, to uplift academic performances.
STEM activities are appealing and interesting ways of engaging students with aspects of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, thereby stirring their curiosity and innovation.
4. Co-Curricular Activities
Apart from curricula and Islamic teachings, there were enough opportunities for extra-curricular activities which inspired physical fitness, ingenuity and group work.

Sports and Physical Education: Daily activity in a variety of sports, such as soccer, basketball, and track events, promoted physical fitness and teamwork.
Arts and Crafts: The learner expressed their creative potential through art and craft projects, learning the way to do so through art.
Public Speaking and Debate: There were special sessions on public speaking, critical thinking, and debate in order to instill confidence in students.
It included training on imparting key lifelong skills such as leadership, discipline, respect toward others, and time management. Human Growth and Development

Islamic Manners and Etiquette: Great importance was given to good Islamic manners; being kind, respectful, and responsible in daily life. Dua: Daily supplications are taught and prayers are said on all sorts of occasions; each is encouraged to make it part of the daily routine. Concluding Remarks and Awards This was concluded on the 30th of August 2024 with recitations, speeches, and skits showing what the students had learned. It later culminated with prize-giving for the memorization of the Qur’an, excellence in academic subjects, sports, and leadership. Successfully spiritually enriched, academically stronger, and better equipped with the tools of life, the Summer School of 2024 at Wisdom House Islamic School has proved to be a success on all fronts.
